Artist's Comments
This is by far my favorite piece yet. First I carved it out of a 10x10 plaster square, then I rammed it up in sand, then we poured in in bronze. After that I patinaed(sp?) it to give the metal an aged look and make the symbols and grid pop more for depth...I looked around and am pretty sure the symbols say live dream do in that order...if not OH well this is going in a sculpture fence on campus for the rest of ever (forever for those of you "quick" kids)

  wow, that's really neat. i do like the aged look you've given it. and the textures work well together. interesting process you've described, i didn't know you could use sand as a mould.
 ! The photo is a little unsharp but it sure tells enough, great work here
 I think the squares help the composition a lot. Wow...my first reaction to the picture was "Hey, that's really cool looking!" But the more I look at it, the more I like it.
 -- Personally I've never experienced normal or stayed awake long enough to understand it.  Very cool! your work payed off! I like this alot.

Wow- this is rad. Really beautiful and unusual (especially for DA). I haven't done anything like that in years (the sand molds I mean). Very classy work man. It's almost too bad it's going into that fence. This would look wicked on my wall!!
